Features:

• Wylex double pole RCD rated at 80A with fully shrouded terminals, contact position indication, positive On/Off indication and DIN rail mounting.
• This is a WRS80/2 life line series 2 module double pole type AC residual current device RCD 80A 30mA.
• The Lifeline range of residual current devices, RCDs provide valuable additional protection to almost any type of installation by detecting earth fault current below the level sensed by traditional overcurrent devices such as fuses of miniature circuit breakers.
• All Wylex RCDs incorporate a filtering device to provide protection against transient surges in the supply to the unit, thus reducing the occurrence of unwanted tripping.
• The operating dolly may be locked in either the ON or OFF position without affecting the ability of the trip mechanism to operate, i.e.
• the RCD is ’trip-free’.
• It is not possible to hold the contacts closed when a fault condition exists.
• When in the OFF position a contact gap of 4mm is present, enabling Wylex RCDs to be used as isolating switches where appropriate.
• RCDs are designed to disconnect or ’trip’ very quickly in order to cut the power to that circuit and greater reduce the harm caused by electric shocks.
• The new 17th Edition Regulations stipulate that all circuits must be RCD protected.
