Basecoat to use with a hardener and in conjunction with the RoofCell GRP roofing system. A technology that provides exceptional performance on a range of surfaces without the need for additional primer. Suited to larger areas for new projects as well as refurbishment applications. It carries all of the benefits of GRP with the convenience of direct-lay application.

Features:

• Basecoat made from polyester resin, for use with hardener, and designed for no-fuss year round application.
• Suitable for use on felt, concrete, asphalt and GRP where the existing deck cannot be removed.
• Once the existing surface has been prepared and GRP edge trim applied, Roof cell Basecoat is applied onto the surface along with reinforcement mat from the laminate.

• The roofing system consists of 450g/mtr reinforcement mat, trims, clout nails, trim adhesive, hardener (1%-4%), basecoat (2-3kg/m² depending on surface), topcoat.

Please Note:

• If any water comes into contact with the basecoat this will contaminate the materials.
• Do not apply the Basecoat too thin. Ensure entire surface is coated. Any area that has loose chippings and aren’t fully coated would require another coat of Basecoat. An insufficient coverage could cause the system to fail.
• RoofCell Basecoat has a 20-40 minute working time, only mix material for an area that can be covered within this time. Please consult the mixing section before application. The Basecoat laminate should be ready to work on for Topcoat application after 1hr - 1hr 30 minutes.
