This magnetic scale inhibitor is designed for installation on cold water lines to prevent the formation of limescale. The unit includes 2 x 15mm compression fittings, ensuring easy installation. No earth bonding is required. With regular contact with treated water, any existing scale around taps, sinks, and showers will begin to soften, making it easier to remove. Surfaces frequently in contact with treated water, such as shower heads, will also be easier to clean and descale. Over several months, the efficiency of your hot water system will gradually improve. Please note that scale inhibitors are not suitable for eliminating hard scale in kettles.

Installation:

• Turn off the water supply.
• Drain relevant pipework or system where the unit is to be installed.
• Allow time for the system to cool down if fitted in line.
• Cut pipework to suit length of unit.
• For best results install at least 1mtr away from an appliance.
• Push the unit into place, ensuring that the fittings are pushed fully into position.
• Tighten the compression fittings to make a seal.
• Re-open the system slowly.
• Check for leaks.

Please note:

• Limited free play in rigid pipework.
• Cut only one measurement, then re-measure, taking into account the compression fittings, prior to installation.
• Ensure that the unit is compact when the pipework has been cut.
