Ultrabond Eco S948 1K is a high-performance, one-component adhesive designed for bonding multi-layer pre-finished wood flooring and medium-sized solid wood planks up to 15cm wide. It is ideal for use on a variety of substrates, including cementitious screeds, old wooden floors, ceramic, marble, terrazzo, and anhydrite screeds. This adhesive is especially suitable for heated substrates, offering excellent bonding strength and easy application. Manufactured using MAPEI’s advanced silylated polymer technology, it boasts a solvent-free composition, low VOC emissions (EMICODE EC1 Plus), and exceptional ease of use.

Application:

• Ensure the substrate is dry, flat, and free of dust, oil, and loose parts.
• Repair any cracks in the substrate before applying the adhesive.
• Apply a suitable primer if there is a risk of rising damp or high humidity.
• Spread the adhesive using a MAPEI notched trowel designed for wood flooring.
• Lay the wood flooring within 35 minutes after spreading the adhesive.
• Press the wood firmly to ensure good contact with the adhesive.
• Leave a 1 cm joint around the perimeter and other obstacles.
• Allow the floor to set to light foot traffic after 12 hours.
• Clean any excess adhesive from surfaces and tools while it is still fresh.

Please note:

• Before installing, make sure the rooms have suitable windows and fittings. ULTRABOND ECO S948 1K One-component, solvent-free, (according to TRGS 610) silylated polymer-based adhesive with very low emission level of volatile organic compounds (EMICODE EC1 Plus)
• The humidity level in the screed must be compliant with that prescribed by the current standards for the installation of wood, and as indicated in the technical data sheet for the parquet flooring.
• If the substrate is not thoroughly dried, or if the residual humidity is higher than the level prescribed, we recommend the use of a suitable waterproofing primer, such as Eco Prim PU 1K, Primer MF, Primer MF EC Plus, etc.
• If there is a risk of rising damp, a vapour barrier must be installed before laying the screed.
• Do not use Ultrabond Eco S948 1K if the temperature is lower than +10°C or higher than +35°C.
• When transported over long distances, thermally insulated containers may be required.
