Preparation:

1. Refer to local standards or, in the UK, follow British Standard Codes of Practice, ensuring work complies with BS EN 1996 Parts 1 & 2 and PD 6697:2010.
2. For new brickwork rendering, leave raked mortar joints to form a key.
3. For old brickwork rendering, rake out old concrete or render, remove old plaster or decoration, and ensure the backing is sound, free from laitance, dust, grease, oil, and damp.
4. Stabilize porous surfaces by applying a bonding primer made of 1 part Bostik SBR mixed with 2 parts cement. Mix to a smooth consistency and brush vigorously into the surface. Allow to harden for at least 16 hours (maximum 72 hours).
5. Apply a second coat of bonding primer using 1 part Bostik SBR, 1 part water, and 5 parts cement. Render while this coat is still tacky or wet.
6. Shake well before use.

Application:

Waterproofing Tanks, Ponds, and Groundwater Protection

Walls:

1. Apply render to a properly prepared surface, ensuring the mix is as stiff as possible to minimize the risk of cracking.
2. Apply render in two coats to a total thickness of 20 to 25mm.
3. Apply the first render coat to 12-15mm thickness, extending it onto the floor approximately 400mm from the internal wall-floor angle. Form a cove at the internal angle and scratch to form a key without piercing the render.
4. Apply the second render coat to 8-10mm thickness when the first coat is firm (minimum 6 hours, maximum 24 hours). Extend it onto the floor approximately 200mm from the internal wall-floor angle.
5. Prevent the render from drying out too much in the first 48 hours by mist spraying with water or covering it with polythene.

Cleaning:

• Clean tools and equipment with water immediately after use.
