STOPCOR® Heater Pro 1 & 2: Ultimate Corrosion & Limescale Protection

Corrosion Control & Water Conditioning

STOPCOR® Heater Pro is an all-in-one system designed to prevent corrosion and limescale buildup in plumbing and heating systems. It provides a long-term solution without requiring an external power source or direct water contact. Using scientifically proven cathodic protection, it creates a protective current of over -1V through a sacrificial magnesium anode, effectively shielding the entire system from deterioration.

Unlike traditional water softeners, STOPCOR® Heater Pro is environmentally friendly, non-toxic, and requires minimal maintenance. Available in two sizes, Pro1 & Pro2, this system can be installed directly on the heating boiler or main water supply to ensure comprehensive protection.

STOPCOR Installation Guide

STOPCOR Heater PRO 1 & 2 Instructions

STEP ONE:
Insert the STOPCOR® device into the supplied mounting bracket and firmly secure it using the provided screws. Choose a stable point on the wall near the water heater or equipment for proper placement. Ensure the device is mounted at a convenient height for easy access and maintenance. Positioning it close to the system ensures optimal protection against corrosion and limescale buildup over time.

STEP TWO:
Expose the copper wiring inside the red cable by stripping the insulation at the end. Attach this exposed wire to a clean metal point on the equipment’s pipe, ensuring it is free from paint or rust. Secure it tightly using the provided metal cable clamp to guarantee strong electrical conductivity. This connection is essential for the cathodic protection system to function effectively and provide long-term corrosion control.

STEP THREE:
Drill a hole carefully through the plasterboard or wall until you reach a solid brick surface behind it. This hole will serve as the grounding point for the device. Insert the supplied wedging anchor into the hole and ensure it is firmly secured. Connect the yellow/green cable by attaching one end to the STOPCOR® device’s terminal pin and the other end to the wedging anchor, allowing for proper electrical grounding and conductivity.

STEP FOUR:
Activate the STOPCOR® device by adding tap water using the provided syringe. For Heater Pro 1, inject 5ml, and for Heater Pro 2, inject 10ml into the hole located at the top of the device. This step is crucial for initiating the protective current that helps prevent corrosion. Ensure the device is properly activated by confirming the water has been fully absorbed into the system.

Maintenance Guide

  • Annual Check: Add 10ml (Pro1) or 20ml (Pro2) of tap water.
  • Voltage Test: Use a voltmeter; reading must be over -1V.
  • Replacement: Change the unit every 3 years for optimal performance.
